Motion isolation
The Pure Green latex layer (or layers, depending on how it is) traps the movement and isolates it in its place. This prevents the movement from being transferred through the bed and disturbs a sleeping partner.
Edge support
Pure Green beds offer a surprising amount of edge support, since latex and foam mattresses generally receive low marks in this area. Clients do not report excess sinking around the perimeter. This can be attributed, in part, to the solid 6-inch base layer that makes up the mattress support core.
Heat retention
Because latex does not allow the deep "sag" that can occur with memory foam, these beds generally do not have the same problem with the heat retention that foam mattresses often have. Pure Green customers report that the mattress sleeps relatively cool.
Degassing
When a mattress is compressed and shipped, it usually releases a temporary smell when it is unpacked. This is known as degassing. You can expect the Pure Green mattress to produce such an odor, but it will dissipate within a day or two, maximum.
Support for
latex mattress, used in the Pure Green bed, responds to pressure and weight. This allows the bed to respond to an individual's specific pressure points and relieve individual pain. Most sleepers find that this material and construction provides a high level of support.
According
The latex layers of the Pure Green bed fit quite well into the body of a sleeper, without the "sag" that is typical of memory foam. Comments from clients about the Pure Green indicate that the bed is adapted enough to relieve pain and pressure points.
Durability
Clients report that the Pure Green bed stays well with time, with minimal sinking or crevices. The bed has not been available long enough, however, to specifically know how the bed will stay for many years. In addition, since Sleep On Latex does not reveal the densities or ILD of its foams, it is difficult to accurately assess the durability of the bed.
