My research team has recently conducted extensive mattress research by collecting data on more than 3,100 mattress owners. This article analyzes the different types of mattresses in order of scoring in our research.
Air mattress
Latex mattresses as a group obtained the highest score in our research. More than 90% of latex bed owners indicated that they thought their bed was comfortable. Latex mattresses also tend to have fewer disadvantages than other types of mattresses. For example, latex has good durability and tends not to sleep hot or without gas. A latex bed can also be customized to suit your preference of firmness.
Memory foam
The relativistic foam mattresses as a group obtained ratings under the latex beds and were practically tied with air beds. About 85% of memory foam owners are satisfied with the comfort of their beds. Sensitivity to temperature and foam weight allows you to reduce pressure points and provide good support.
Air beds, such as Sleep Number / Select Comfort, have a capacity almost equal to that of viscoelastic foam mattresses. Owners especially like the ability to adjust the firmness of their beds by adding or eliminating the amount of air inside. Reducing pressure points is another great advantage of mattresses.
Waterbeds are not as popular as they used to be, but more than 80% of the owners find them comfortable. The beds have good durability and offer a new technology that makes them similar to conventional beds in almost every respect.
Internal springs
Spring mattresses as a group rated as the latest in our research. About 55% of these owners said that their beds are comfortable. The main problem related to these beds is flaccidity. According to our findings, beds are more prone than other types of mattresses to leave body impressions, which often results in less comfort and support.
