Camping:
Some people associate camping with the most difficult sleep conditions, but it does not have to be that way. An air mattress can be a dramatic improvement over a sleeping bag or a pad pressed against the ground.
If you are looking for an air mattress for camping, you should consider some specific priorities.
Size: if it does not fit in your store, you will have problems and the worst time to find out is when you are in your camp. Measure first before buying, and then test your store with the air cushion in before you hit the road for your camping trip.
Height: Some tents, such as the dome, are designed to be taller and can accommodate an air mattress that has more height. However, other types of tents may not offer enough space to have an air mattress that is high above the ground. Again, measure and test this before taking it to camp.
Compressed size: if you have ever loaded the car for a camping trip, you know that the space in the car almost always runs out faster than you expect. For this reason, having an air mattress with a small size can help avoid headaches when preparing to go camping.
Rugged exterior: an air mattress for camping must have a thick exterior that has been ideally reinforced at the bottom. If a twig or a rock could make the mattress stick easily, it is not a good option for camping.
Pump style: look for an air mattress that can be inflated with a hand pump or battery or remember that you will need a cigarette lighter power adapter in your car to plug in your normal pump.
